Visits

Maintaining high-level contacts with the diplomats, senior officials, thinktank and academics through regular visits to Geneva, Seoul, Washington DC and London.

Seminars

Mobilising international expertise and knowledge on the issue of inter-Korean relations and reunification by running seminars in Geneva and Cambridge, or online.

Bilateral Free Trade Agreement — Features

We have focused on research across many sectors of public life in both DPRK and ROK, including their relationships with other countries. 朝鲜半岛立场报告

RPI’s proposed Bilateral Free Trade Agreement (BFTA) developed from an earlier position paper entitled ‘Building Relationships and Trust Across the Korean Peninsula; A Mutually-agreed Economic and Social Convergence Strategy’. Between 2019 and 2021 these ideas, now developed further as the ‘Mutually Agreed Convergent Development Strategy’, are expressed in the BFTA. To understand the wider background and purpose of the BFTA, we hope you may find time to read the RPI position paper below.
