RPI’s Ukraine Program
The major focus of RPI’s work at present is seeking to build a shared vision and convergent development process between Ukraine and Russia. It is envisaged that RPI’s involvement in the Ukraine question largely comprises three parts.
Visits
Maintaining high-level contacts with diplomats, senior officials, thinktanks and academics through regular visits to Geneva, Washington DC and London. At present the program is largely at the research stage.
Seminars
Mobilising international expertise and knowledge on the issue of Ukraine and Russia relations by running in-house seminars in Geneva and Cambridge.
Research
Publishing books and research reports on how best to build economic cooperation and trust between Russia and Ukraine.

Bilateral Economic Framework — FeaturesUkraine Position Paper
RPI’s proposed Economic Cooperation Framework developed from an earlier position paper entitled ‘Building Relationships and Trust Between Ukraine and Russia: A Mutually-agreed Economic and Social Convergence Strategy’. Between 2019 and 2021 these ideas, now developed further as the ‘Mutually Agreed Convergent Development Strategy’, are expressed in the framework.
